I research it, design it, and understand how it gets built.

Experiences
I'm a UX researcher and technologist with 9+ years of engineering experience and an M.S. in User Experience. This is a combination that has let me operate fluently across the full product lifecycle, from generative research and ideation through usability validation and stakeholder presentation. I've led end-to-end, mixed-methods research across defense, sports technology, transportation, and nonprofit organizations — designing studies, building ResearchOps infrastructure, developing personas, and translating complex user behavior into product strategy that stakeholders can act on. Because I've worked as an engineer and alongside engineering teams, I bring technical feasibility into every research decision, so the insights I surface aren't just directionally interesting — they're buildable. My goal is always the same: make sure product decisions are grounded in real user understanding, communicated clearly to cross-functional teams, and designed to serve the people who depend on them most.
A little More About Me
A showcase of my work creating intuitive experiences.
Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation: Research-Driven Website Redesign
Unified a fragmented two-site platform into a single, scalable experience, validated by 100% task success across 5 scenario-based usability tests, by leading end-to-end mixed-methods research including card sorting, stakeholder interviews, and persona development that exposed critical navigation failures and informed a phased IA strategy presented to organizational leadership.
Streamlining Tournament Reporting with UX Research & AI
Reduced tournament results publishing time by 92% (25 minutes to under 4) by diagnosing a manual, error-prone workflow through generative stakeholder research, then designing and co-building a React web app with iterative usability testing that achieved 100% task completion and gave stakeholders confidence to publish results the same day as events.
Stage 0–1 UX Research for AR in Collegiate Sports
Reshaped the product roadmap of an AR athletic training system and supported $250K+ in program funding by leading Stage 0-1 generative UX research across a cross-functional team at Georgia Tech, surfacing insights that reframed core product assumptions and aligned engineering, coaching, and athletics leadership before development began.
I approach UX research with a systems mindset shaped by years of engineering experience. By studying how people actually work within complex environments, I help teams turn technical possibilities into usable, well-aligned product decisions.

This segment challenges the industry's digital-only focus, asserting that User Experience (UX) goes far beyond the screen. I created it to show how I view the world around me through the lens of UX, and because I really enjoy making PowerPoint presentations (no, seriously... I used to make full cartoons in PowerPoint when I was little). These are relatively long, interactive edutainment presentations with video clips, quizzes, fun facts, and UX principles.
I love design, whether it be fashion, cake decorating, arts and crafts, or home decor. I like to surround myself with bright colors, good food, and good-spirited people. I enjoy reading mysteries and manga, learning Spanish, tending a vegetable garden, and casual gaming. I’m also a lifelong fan of tennis and WWE; two worlds that constantly remind me how much great experiences rely on timing, clarity, and performance.

- Mr. Bigweld, Robots (2005)
I believe great products start with deeply understanding people, and building only what truly serves them.
